...reducing breast, prostate and colorectal cancer disparities

The Carolina Community Network (CCN) is a community-based collaborative, developed to reduce breast, prostate and colorectal cancers in adult African Americans.

The CCN brings together two regions within the state of North Carolina, and involves researchers from UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, the UNC Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research and the UNC Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention.

The goal of the CCN is to combine the strengths of the community with resources and research expertise at UNC to reduce cancer disparities through education, research, and training.
