ECHO brings attention to, and cultivate solutions for, racial and ethnic disparities. Below are links to some of our various research partnerships.

ECHO Health Disparities Workshops and Conferences
ECHO and its various partners organize annual workshops and conferences as a way to promote existing health disparities research and create a meeting place for community members, researchers, and staff to network and develop new research partnerships in their areas of interest.

Health Disparities Seminars
ECHO also co-sponsors monthly seminars on a variety of research projects being conducted at UNC Chapel Hill as well as other institutions.

Carolina-Shaw Comprehensive NCMHD Research Center (Project EXPORT)
This Center serves as a research incubator that conducts innovative minority health research among adult African-American populations in North Carolina.

Carolina Community Network to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities (CCN)
The Carolina Community Network is a community-based collaborative, developed to reduce breast, prostate and colorectal cancers in adult African Americans.

UNC Centers for Community Research(CCR)
The CCRs are community-based research sites structured to facilitate research between UNC Chapel Hill faculty, students, and North Carolina communities.
