Eligibility

To be eligible for the program, the principal investigator must be on faculty at UNC Chapel Hill, North Carolina Central University, North Carolina A&T State University, Fayetteville State University, St. Augustine, Elizabeth City State University, Winston Salem State University, or Shaw University. Priority is given to new investigators who have not yet been the PI on a federally funded research project and all new investigators are required to have an identified faculty mentor for the project. Senior faculty who are changing their current research focus to address racial/ethnic health disparities are also encouraged to apply but do not require a mentor.
